Herman B Wells |
In his State of the University address in 1962, President Herman B
Wells talked about his dream that a retirement community be established
in Bloomington to serve Indiana University faculty, staff, and area
residents alike. In 1980 his dream became a reality. The first residents
moved to Meadowood in 1981 and construction was completed in 1983. Since
that time Dr. Wells’ vision and the dedication of OFC Corporation,
the present owner, have molded Meadowood into a leader among forward-thinking
retirement communities. “Dreams do come true in Bloomington.” |
