Employment Benefits

 

Meadowood has always had a strong commitment to its employees and their lives. Meadowood’s Management Team has worked closely with the owners to create a well balanced benefits package with the employees’ needs in mind. Read on to learn about the benefits availible to full-time employees.

Meadowood has a substantial part-time staff who also recieve a variety of employment benefits. A listing of Part Time Benefits follows the Full-Time listing.

Health and Well-Being

Health Care Plan. Meadowood's health care plan is designed to protect you and your family with medical and dental coverage, as well as prescription drug benefits. In an attempt to make health care coverage affordable, Meadowood pays a substantial portion of each employees premium (up to 75%). You may also reduce your taxes by making contributions for health care coverage on a pre-tax basis.

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The EAP is designed to help people with personal difficulties, including financial, family or personal problems. This confidential service is available to you, your spouse and dependents.

Preventive Medicine. Meadowood knows that the best medicine is preventive medicine. It is with this in mind that the facility offers a variety of benefits including: free initial employee physical, annual mantoux screening, annual flu shots and Hepetitis vaccines.

Financial Security

401(k) Retirement Plan. Saving through Meadowood's 401(k) plan is one of the smartest ways to plan for your retirement. Meadowood's plan gives you a variety of investment funds to choose from to meet your financial goals. As an added bonus, Meadowood matches a percentage of the pay that you save.

Life Insurance. Meadowood pays for basic life insurance coverage of $10,000; supplemental coverage is also available at the employees' expense.

Yearly Bonuses. Traditionally, as a token of their appreciation, Meadowood's residents have given a generous bonus to all employees who are employed during the winter holiday season. Likewise, the owners of Meadowood greatly appreciate the contribution all employees make to the organization, and they, too, have given a generous bonus.

Quality of Life

Paid Vacation. All full-time employees receive up to four weeks paid vacation time based on their length of service.

Paid Holidays. Meadowood pays all full-time employees for six holidays each year plus one personal day. Because Meadowood is responsible for a dependent population, it is necessary to staff on holidays. All employees who work on a recognized holiday are paid double time.

Employee Meal Program. While on duty, employees are eligible to receive meals prepared by Meadowood's food services department at the much reduced cost of $2.00 per meal.

Part-Time Benefits

Meadowood is aware that its part-time employees have unique needs, and it has developed a benefits package accordingly:

  • Paid vacation hours based on length of service and hours worked per week.
  • Part-time employees who work on recognized holidays are paid double time.
  • Summer and extended break leave of absences available.
  • Employee Meals available for $3.00.
  • Free annual flu shot.
  • Birthday recognition with a free Meadowood meal and a movie pass.
  • Uniforms are furnished or the cost is reimbursed.
