Meadowood offers regular outings for a variety of dining experiences. Transportation is provided by Meadowood, and departure times are listed for each event. All activities, dates, times, and locations are subject to change. Please check the Activities Credenza and sign up in advance!

Meadowood's Women's Luncheon 2005

Meadowood's 2005 "Old Favorites":

  • Monday, February 21, 5:30pm -- Limestone Grill. Upscale dining in a unique atmosphere. Boldly flavored American Cuisine (including seafood, steaks and pastas), excellent service and an extensive wine list make for a well-rounded epicurean experience.
  • Monday, April 25, 4:30pm -- Hollyhock Inn. One of the few family-style restaurants in the United States that has been open for 70 years. Great homestyle cooking!
  • Monday, June 27, 4:30pm -- Kopper Kettle. Originally started as a tea room until the owner began picking up copper kettles instead of teapots on her trips. Known for their catfish, filet mignon, and ribeye.
  • Monday, August 29, 4:30pm -- Hilltop. Specialize in home-style looking! A strongly recommended restaurant by Meadowood residents. Great rolls, excellent chicken, and wonderful desserts.
  • Monday, October 17, 4:30pm -- Iron Skillet Indy. Abundant meals, skillfully prepared and beautifully served in a genteel, serenely comfortable setting. Soft music, candlelight, delicate latticework and fresh floral decorations all contribute to the relaxing pleasures of the Iron Skillet.
  • Monday, December 12, 5:30pm -- Tallent. A unique culinary experience combining fresh, local, organic ingredients, specialty wines, and superior service. Also locally owned.

Indy's Best 2005: Featuring Indianapolis' Finest Cuisine!

We will meet at Meadowood for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres starting at 4:30pm and will load the Star of Indiana bus for a relaxing trip to Indy! After our drive, we will enjoy our fine dining experience together, but in small tables of 6 or 8. After dinner we will rejoin and RELAX as we depart for our trip back to Bloomington.

All Indy's Best trips are open to the public. Feel free to arrange a spot on the bus for your friends. You may arrange for a table for four, six, or eight. You will be billed by Meadowood for the cost of your meal, along with your bus trip of $10 per person. All checks will be paid on one master bill!

  • Monday, January 10 -- Bravo! Italian Kitchen. Wood-fired pizzas, steaks, creative pastas, salads.
  • Monday, March 7 -- St. Elmos. Each room has a history. From the Tiffany room with its paneling & high tin ceiling to the bars. Since 1902 presidents and movie stars have been a part of the tradition.
  • Monday, May 9 -- Elements. Serves up sensibly portioned nouvelle allowing guests to sample several courses. Don't miss the sashimi offerings or the lovely inventive desserts.
  • Monday, July 11 -- The Ocean Aire. A luxe, art-deco seafood palace. You won't want to miss the whole arctic chain of the ever changing selection of Atlantic and Pacific oysters.
  • Monday, September 12 -- Dunaways. With art-deco styling, an impressive wine list, and bold menu flavors, Dunaway's combines Indy's most popular culinart genres: Mediterranean and steak.
  • Monday, November 7 -- Vizion. A stunning restaurant turning to nightclub features a glazed-in performance kitchen, a wine tower, and acrylic wall panels.
